Liliana Bedrosian is the Director of all tennis programs at the Park Ridge tennis Academy. She started her tennis career at the tender age of 6 and was one of the top juniors in Armenia. She received Olympic level training and traveled extensively throughout the former Soviet Union for about 9 years. When she was playing in the 18 and under group she was ranked 16 in the entire Soviet Union. In 1993 she was on the Armenian National Tennis Team and the number 1 ranked amateur in Armenia. In that same year the Armenian team was invited to go on a U.S tour against Harvard, Yale, Columbia and Princeton. The Armenian team had excellent results during this tour and as a result of that competition Liliana was offered a few full tennis scholarships and agreed to go to Virginia Commonwealth University, a division I school in Richmond, Virginia.
She completed her undergraduate degree in Sociology in 1997 and began her career as a tennis pro at various locations in Bergen County. After starting a family with two girls she and her husband, George Bedrosian, decided to open the Park Ridge Tennis Academy in 2004. Prior to opening the Park Ridge Tennis Academy the pair went to visit Chris Evert at her academy in Florida to get some valuable advice about operating a tennis academy from Chris and her brother John. During the visit Liliana and the head pro at Chris's academy got to play against Chris and George; Lilana's team won. Unfortunately for Chris, George was the weak link. Although Liliana has stopped competing in singles, she has teamed up with her husband George and played in a few USTA sanctioned events. They also played in a tournament sponsored by American Express at the Forest Hills Tennis Center (former home of the US Open) which they won. Over the years Liliana has been heavily involved with tennis and has had the opportunity to strike up acqaintences with Andre Aggassi, Jim Courier and others, and has also sponsored a female player from the Republic of Estonia. Liliana is now completely dedicated to making Park RidgeTennis a first rate tennis academy.
